Vlingo my Lingo
August 20, 2009
My iphone is like a child that goes everywhere with me. It drives my mother insane but turns my husband on. I love my iphone, I think it is the coolest freakin’ thing ever invented. I use it throughout the day, no matter where I am. I get antsy in the car when I really want to tweet something or check to see if a client has finally emailed me back. Texting and driving isn’t very safe, and I usually refrain unless I’m at a stop sign. The 3Gs has voice control calling and tune playing but they missed the boat by not including status update and search funcionality. I want to be able to cook up a plate of spaghetti and do laundry with my iphone, but I’ll settle for being able to update my Twitter status.
Enter Vlingo. Vlingo is this awesome app that allows you to voice command your phone in a much more impressive way than the 3Gs currently allows. You can update your Twitter or Facebook status, search google maps, tell it to call someone, email someone, text someone, google search. You can open and use pretty much any application you’d want to… simply by talking to it! Geek Squeeeeeee!
This video from AppVee.com describes the application quite well…
